The Parricide Prevention Institute's mission is to conduct research critical to understanding why kids kill their parents. Through knowledge comes understanding, and through understanding comes wisdom. That is what prevention is all about. We count on you to make this work possible.

In the Viking Age, the Helm of Awe was used to invoke the ultimate protection for the wearer. This symbol was believed to protect the wearer against the abuse of power. The meaning of the word, awe, was meant to strike with fear and reverence: to influence by respect. We salute those who have reared children in a world where respect for parents and reverence for boundaries and love are often breached.
